Vimoraq is a small, curated library of short video clips that are free for everyone. Every clip is either dedicated to the public domain (CC0) or is already in the public domain, so you can use it in films, ads, presentations, apps or social posts without asking permission, paying a fee, or adding a credit.

Where the footage comes from

We archive footage that photographers and filmmakers have released into the public domain on Wikimedia Commons. Each clip page links back to its original file so you can check the history and license yourself. We re-encode the originals to H.264 MP4 so they play in every browser and editor, and we keep the encodes small so pages load fast.

What we don't do

No accounts, no tracking pixels, no "premium" tier. If a clip is here, it is free.

Found a problem?

If you believe a clip is mislabelled or should not be in the public domain, tell us and we will take it down while we check.
